Crisis Care

24/7 Crisis Care

True Care Hospice is 24 hour a day, 7 days a week service. Therefore, if at any hour you or your loved one is in discomfort, we will send a nurse to evaluate and manage your care. Depending on the individual situation, certain patients may qualify for 24 hour nursing services at their home until the distress is managed.

Hospice Crisis Care: Peace of Mind, Comfort and Support

Hospice care is so much more than just medical care. It’s about helping families to find support, care, guidance and peace of mind in troubling times. Oftentimes, families and patients come to us because they feel discomfort and don’t know where to turn. The patient is in pain and the family isn’t sure what to do.

That’s where 24/7 crisis care comes in. Being a crisis care team is about more than just intervening when a patient is in pain or distress. It’s also about supporting families.

An individual near the end of life, or with a terminal diagnosis can cause a lot of grief and emotional issues between patients and families. With crisis care service, we provide much-needed relief, so that a spouse, sibling, child or other family member can step away and into the role as a family member and not a caregiver. It gives them crucial time with their loved ones and perhaps most importantly, time to grieve.

Helping to Bridge the Gap between Patients and their Families

Oftentimes, unresolved issues will crop up between family members and patients, causing even more worry and anxiety. Together with the crisis care team, our spiritual care coordinator can help try to smooth the transition for everyone, as well as create a calmer dynamic for everyone. Although every family and every patient is different, we strive to ensure that everyone enjoys greater peace of mind and that all are on the same page moving forward.
