Spiritual Services

We offer multiple spiritual counselors from all faiths to provide spiritual support and teaching during the end of life process.

Emotional and Spiritual Care For All Faiths

When it comes to receiving hospice care, many people understandably think of medical care that provides support and comfort to patients nearing the end of life. However, hospice care is much more than that, and can also provide emotional and spiritual care to family members during this difficult time.

Patients in particular benefit on many levels from emotional care and support that they receive from music therapy as well as visits from pre-screened furry friends and their owners. Hospice teams are also specially trained and equipped to provide spiritual care that honors religions, teachings and traditions.

Pastoral Care

As part of each interdisciplinary care team, a hospital chaplain plays a critical role by helping to stay focused on the emotional and spiritual needs of the family and the patient. Dealing with questions of morality can raise a host of spirituality concerns, including the meaning of life and what happens after death. Even if a patient is not particularly religious (or if they are deeply religious), a chaplain can help the patient and family come to their own answers about non-medical issues that arise near the end of life.

Caring for Veterans

We consider it an honor and privilege to care for those who have protected and served this country. Our hospice team provides grateful acknowledgement and compassionate care to veterans and their families. We are experienced in many different veterans services and our process includes a straightforward and seamless admissions process.

Serving The Jewish Community

We are proud to serve the Jewish population. At the request of patients and their families, we can ensure that all hospice care adheres to Jewish traditions and ideals to help better provide understanding and compassionate care with deep understanding of the beliefs, customs, philosophies and ethics of practicing and non-practicing members. We also understand that there are differences in observances and laws according to Reform, Orthodox and Conservative Jewish practices, particularly in terms of end-of-life care and bereavement support. We understand and are prepared to conduct care and preparations accordingly.
