What’s the Difference Between Hospice and Palliative Care?
Hospice care and Palliative care are two terms that are often used interchangeably, however, although they seem similar, they are somewhat different ,and it’s important to know the differences when you’re considering hospice care in Reseda. Palliative care can be given at any time, to anyone, whereas hospice care is for those who have been diagnosed with a terminal illness or who have more or less six months to live.
Hospice care is also designed to allow the patient to receive care where they are currently located — be that at their home, at a nursing home, at a hospital, or at our own facility. Palliative care is usually given in medical settings and rarely happens at home.
